The Arts & Culture Alliance is pleased to present a professional development seminar for artists and other creative people on Tuesday, October 24, from 5:30-6:30 PM at the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville. Join us as we welcome Mike C. Berry!
Mike C. Berry, artist and gallery manager of the University of Tennessee’s Downtown Gallery, will discuss how to properly package artwork for shipment. He will also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using various shipping companies.
Mike C. Berry, originally from the Midwest, now calls Knoxville home after 15 years. In 1997 he earned his Master of Fine Art from the Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, GA. Currently his work consists of colorful and vibrant cityscapes and landscapes, often bending and twisting the perspective in his compositions. Mike is known for his creative interpretations of Knoxville scenes, most notable is his “Spring in the City” painting that was the Dogwood Print in 2007. Mike continues to create work for private commissions and is represented by The District Gallery in Bearden and The River Gallery in Chattanooga, TN. Mike also manages the UT Downtown Gallery, where he prepares works for display and designs the layouts for monthly exhibition. He is an active member of the Art & Culture Alliance.
