November 1-3: 20th Master Woodworkers Show
The East Tennessee Woodworkers Guild presents the 20th Master Woodworkers Show, a biennial juried show highlighting the works of over 30 craftspeople and artists of East Tennessee and the surrounding region. The Show features many types of woodworking from traditional to whimsical, including fine furniture, cabinetry, turning, sculpture and marquetry. “We have a great show for 2019,” says Scott DeWaard, Show Director. “It happens only every other year, and for just three days. Our makers love to meet and chat with the public. If you admire fine, handmade furniture and want to know more about what sets it apart, then this is the show for you.”
The Show hours are Friday, November 1, 4:00-9:00 PM; Saturday, November 2, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM; and Sunday, November 3, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Among the participants in this year’s show are the following notable artisans: Curtis Buchanan (Jonesborough), Eric Cannizzaro (Gatlinburg), Jim Scarsella (Sevierville), Gustaf Rooth (Andersonville), Ron Clayton (Loudon), Scott DeWaard (Walland), Tad Gloecker (Bogart, GA), Chris Hedges (Athens, OH), Brian Horais (Knoxville), Al Hudson (Knoxville), Lou Mansur (Knoxville), Jeffrey Neil (Gray), Sandy Pittard (Walland), Stephen Shankles (Maryville), Alf Sharp (Woodbury), Kirk Shufelt (Cullowhee, NC), Dennis Siemsen (Oak Ridge), Jerry Spady (Oak Ridge), and Ronald Young (Chattanooga).
