Mayors’ Offices Exhibitions

The Alliance helps to present this (typically) biannual exhibition for its individual members.

Call for Artwork for the Mayors’ Offices (updated October 2024)

Our City and County mayors have once again asked the Arts & Culture Alliance to display the artwork of our INDIVIDUAL members on the sixth floor of the City County Building at 400 Main Street in downtown Knoxville. We would be honored to include your work if possible and hope you will be interested in participating! (Not a member? Join now!)

Artwork will be displayed in two places: 1) in the anterooms of City Mayor Indya Kincannon, and 2) in the hallway outside both the City Mayor and County Mayor Glenn Jacob’s offices. Artwork will remain on display from approximately November 2024 – June 2025.

Please note: The works comprising these exhibitions are put together in order to build cohesive exhibitions. We do not impose a particular theme or color-scheme, but we do include works that look best together as a whole and that mutually flatter one another as well as their surroundings. That may mean that one, two, or no pieces of any particular artist ends up being included.

Please bring up to two original works to our office at the Emporium Monday or Tuesday, November 18-19, between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. In advance of delivery, please populate the FORM BELOW.

2-D works must be wired to hang. Please limit works to 30 lbs or less in weight and 48″ on the longest side. There is no fee to participate for current individual members.

Please be sure your name and artwork title are on the back of each piece.

New artwork will be installed on Friday, November 22.

Work from the previous show may be picked up during a “meet and greet” with the mayors on Friday, November 15 OR from the Alliance offices on/after Monday, November 18. For more information, contact: Suzanne Cada at (865) 523-7543 or sc@knoxalliance.com.
