“Financial Planning for Artists” Workshop on February 17, 2016

The Arts & Culture Alliance is pleased to present a professional development seminar for artists and other creative people on Wednesday, February 17, from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville. Join us as we welcome Dano Deck of Primerica.

If you’re like most people, you probably know little about personal finance. Perhaps you think long-term security is impossible on your income. But, the truth is, no matter what your income level, you can achieve financial security. You just have to take the time to learn a few simple principles about how money works. We will discuss topics such as: Taking control; Keeping personal and artistic finances separate; Budgeting for artistic projects and personal life; Taxes / how to track deductible expenses; Paying yourself first; Calculating what one’s time is worth; Protecting the things and people you care about.
