The Muse: S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camps
Get out of the heat and into the S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). Camps for ages 4-11 at The Muse are discovery-based, hands-on, educational, and FUN! June 11-15, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Magic School Bus (ages 4-5)
Each day a Magic School Bus video viewed in the planetarium will be our guide. Come experiment with Ms. Frizzle and Liz as they explore topics such as STEM, Dinosaurs, Sound, Flight, and Underwater Exploration!
June 11-15, 1:00-4:00 PM: Creative Writing (ages 9-11)
Campers will be encouraged to love writing and story-telling as they journey through new books and experiences for inspiration and create their own new adventures. Campers can learn which writing styles work best for them as they learn about new techniques and mediums to fill a book of their own creation to take home at the end of the week!
June 25-29, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Fairy Tale Engineering I (ages 5-6)
Read traditional Fairy Tales and explore engineering concepts through building, cooking, art, and experimentation. Learn how to problem solve and design solutions to help your favorite characters.
June 25-29, 1:00-4:00 PM: Fairy Tale Engineering II (ages 7-8)
Read traditional Fairy Tales and explore engineering concepts through building, cooking, art, and experimentation. Learn how to problem solve and design solutions to help your favorite characters.
July 9-13, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Tech-Tacular II (ages 7-8)
Work with Bee Bots, Little Bits, Ozobots, Code-A-Pillar, and more as new tech devices are introduced daily. Learn the basics of coding and programming as the devices follow your directions.
July 9-13, 1:00-4:00 PM: Journey to the Skies II (ages 7-8)
Design, build, and launch your own airplanes and rockets as we explore the sciences of flight and space. Learn about the history and principles of flight and motion.
July 23-28, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Tech-Tacular I (ages 5-6)
Work with Bee Bots, Little Bits, Ozobots, Code-A-Pillar, and more as new tech devices are introduced daily. Learn the basics of coding and programming as the devices follow your directions.
