Tennessee Theatre: Hairspray Summer Camp

You can’t stop the beat! Join us for an immersive arts education program that introduces students to many aspects of theater-making through the lens of Hairspray. Instruction will be led by Amanda Taylor, Theatre Teacher at Beaumont Magnet Academy, and will offer behind the scenes looks at the touring Broadway production, explore characters, setting, time period, theme and motivation, music, and more! Campers will also receive a special discounted rate on tickets to the show at the Tennessee Theatre at the end of the week. Sessions will be held from 9am-12pm for grades 5-8 and 1pm-4pm for grades 9-12 at the Tennessee Theatre and Old City Performing Arts Center.
