Learn to Make Japanese Food & Sushi
For grades 9-12, rising with Instructor Kumi Alderman. Kumi Alderman has taught sushi courses for several years. She grew up cooking in her family-owned restaurant in Japan. In 2014, she founded the Asian Culture Center of Tennessee and organized the Knox Asian Festival, an annual event in Knoxville. She earned a BBA degree at Yamaguchi University.
Join us in this exciting camp and discover the fascinating world of Japanese culinary arts! Through classroom sessions and hands-on work, you’ll learn how to cook savory Japanese cuisine, including three types of sushi, rice balls, miso soup, Japanese pizza, a sweet dessert, and much more.
