Our class will be led by multidisciplinary artist, designer, and instructor, Sarah Shebaro. Letterpress, painting, risograph, screen print, and appliqué are media she uses to create work on paper and fabric. Her teaching and studio practice is based at Striped Light, a print studio and record label she co-founded in 2015. She has previously taught at the Pratt Institute (NYC), Manhattan Graphics Center, Southern Oregon University, Penland School of Craft, and others. Her work can be found at sshebaro.com. Sarah will be assisted by KCM’s Director of Operations, J. Amos Oaks.  In addition to transforming Knoxville’s 47 year old public access television station into a digital media and arts education center, he has his own visual art practice.  Sharing a studio space at Striped Light, Amos creates installations that primarily include paintings but are often paired with sculptural and structural objects, drawings, video, audio loops, orchestrated performance, and other elements in hopes of creating an immersive experience.  His work can be found at amosoaks.com.

Space is limited to 8 participants for each session. Sign up today!
