Ijams Nature Center: Nature Adventure Camps (ages 6-12)

Daily camp hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

June 4-8 and/or July 9-13: Nature’s Heroes and Villains Week
There are many wonderful things we love about nature, but there are also things we fear or dislike about nature. The oft-dreaded poison ivy creeps up tree trunks and lines the trails, but is it a villain in nature, or just in Batman movies? Will you be able to figure out what is friend or foe in the outdoors? Maybe you’ll even discover some secret super powers of your own!

June 11-15 and/or July 16-20: Exploring Ijams Wilderness Week
Do you have what it takes to survive a week at Ijams? Adventure awaits as you make your way across the wilderness in search of shelter, water, and food. New and exciting discoveries are around every turn, and don’t worry—you’ll have a map and compass to help you find your way. Get off the beaten path and uncover all the secrets Ijams has to offer!

June 18-22 and/or July 23-27: Destination: Dirt!
Be prepared to get down and dirty during this week of mud-venture! We’ll explore the unseen world of life under the surface of the soil and find our which critters thrive underground. What is going on in the ground beneath our feet? There is only one way to find out- let’s get down in the dirt!

June 25-29 and/or July 30 – August 3: Aquatic Adventures
This week is packed with wet and wild fun as we journey underwater! Discover the amazing and sometimes elusive world of aquatic life at Ijams. This week is dedicated to getting up close to the plants and animals that call the ponds, creek, and river home. What will you discover during your watery quests?
