Flying Anvil Theatre Summer Camps
Taught by professional actors and directors at our theatre off Northshore Drive.
June 11-15, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM: ACTING SKILLS FOR AGES 7 – 11
Campers will learn basic stage skills, how to improvise and grow in focus and confidence. The campers will work together to rehearse a play performed for family on the final day of class. In addition, campers will shoot a short video commercial, learning the difference between acting for the camera and for the stage. Taught by Dana Wham and Krisha Newport, video coaching by Jayne Morgan. Cost: $225 & after care available. All campers receive: a Flying Anvil Theatre tee-shirt, a professional photograph (headshot) and a copy of their video commercial.
June 18-22, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM: MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP FOR AGES 10 – 15
Campers will spend the week learning songs and dance from Broadway and Disney shows culminating in a performance for family on Friday. Hard work but loads of fun! Taught by Dana Wham and Krisha Newport. Cost: $235 & after care available. All campers receive: a Flying Anvil Theatre tee-shirt, a professional photograph (headshot) and a copy of the performance video.
July 9-13, 1:00-5:00 PM: IMPROVISATIONAL ACTING SKILLS FOR AGES 14 – 17
Campers will learn the fundamentals of short/long form improvisation, agreement, active listening, support, play, group mind, stage presence and grow in confidence and courage. On Friday, campers will improvise in front of family. Taught by Krisha Newport. Cost: $175. All campers receive: a Flying Anvil Theatre tee-shirt and a professional photograph (headshot) and video of show.
July 16-20, 1:00-5:00 PM: ON CAMERA ACTING FOR AGES 11 – 16
Learn on-camera techniques, how to interpret a script, build character and prepare for film and TV auditions. A short presentation of scenes and monologues will be presented on Friday. Taught by David Dwyer. Cost: $225 & after care available. All campers receive: a Flying Anvil Theatre tee-shirt and a professional photograph (headshot) and video of campers monologues.
