The East Tennessee Woodworkers Guild presents the 19th Master Woodworkers Show, a biennial juried show highlighting the works of 33 craftspeople and artists of East Tennessee and the surrounding region. The Show features many types of woodworking from traditional to whimsical, including fine furniture, cabinetry, turning, sculpture and marquetry. “We have a great show for 2017,” says Scott DeWaard, Show Director. “It happens only every other year, and for just three days; it’s a great opportunity to meet the makers. If you love fine, handmade furniture and want to know more about what sets it apart, then this is the show for you.”
Among the participants in this year’s show are the following notable artisans: Curtis Buchanan (Jonesborogh), Ron Clayton (Loudon), Scott DeWaard (Walland), Richard Dwyer (Gray), Tad Gloecker (Bogart, GA), Chris Hedges (Athens, OH), Chris Hough (Ooltewah), Brian Horais (Knoxville), Al Hudson (Knoxville), Ken Lewis (Kingsport), Kenneth Johnson (Marietta, GA), Lou Mansur (Knoxville), Michael McDunn (Greenville, SC), Jeffrey Neil (Gray), Sandy Pittard (Walland), Stephen Shankles (Maryville), Paul Sasso (Almo, KY), Alf Sharp (Woodbury), Kirk Shufelt (Cullowhee, NC), Dennis Siemsen (Oak Ridge), Jerry Spady (Oak Ridge), and Ronald Young (Chattanooga).
